1. An absorbent article comprising:
a liquid-permeable topsheet; a liquid-impermeable backsheet; and an absorption layer arranged between the topsheet and the backsheet, wherein: a compressed region is formed by a compressing process in the absorption layer on a side facing to the backsheet; a plurality of pressed grooves are formed by a pressing process in the absorption layer on a side facing to the topsheet, within a region opposed to the compressed region; a bottom face of the compressed region is formed so as to be closer to the topsheet near outer edges of the compressed region; and a fiber density of the absorption layer increases near said outer edges of the compressed region.
