According to an embodiment of the present invention, a display apparatus comprises: a display; a processing unit displaying a contents image on the display; an input device outputting at least one of rotation information by rotation operation of a user and touch information by touch operation of the user; a storage unit storing database which designates control command which respectively responds to a plurality of rotation information and touch information and orders operation of the processing unit for types of contents; and a control unit deciding types of contents of the contents image displayed on the display if at least one of rotation information and touch information is received from the input device, searching the control command corresponding to rotation information or touch information received from the database based on the decided types of contents, and controlling the processing unit to execute the searched control command.
