Disclosed are a method for producing an aromatic liquid crystal polyester resin and a method for producing an aromatic liquid crystal polyester resin compound. The disclosed method for producing an aromatic liquid crystal polyester resin comprises the steps of: (an acetylating step) reacting a first monomer having at least one kind of a functional group from a hydroxyl group and an amino group with an acid anhydride to be acetylated; and (a polycondensing and esterifying step) synthesizing an aromatic liquid crystal polyester prepolymer by polycondensing and esterifying the acetylated first monomer and dicarboxylic acid. The polycondensing and esterifying step comprise: a first temperature increasing step of increasing a temperature to a temperature of T_1; and an isothermal maintaining step of maintaining a temperature of T_1 for a particular period of time (t_1); and a second temperature increasing step of increasing a temperature to a temperature of T_2. The T_1 is 240-270°C, and the T_2 is 300~340°C. Moreover, the disclosed method for producing an aromatic liquid crystal polyester resin compound uses an aromatic liquid crystal polyester resin produced through the method.
