The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or improving acne skin disease and/or inhibiting sebum including an artemisinic acid, derivative thereof or cosmetically or pharmaceutically acceptable salt wherein the artemisinic acid, derivative thereof or cosmetically or pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the composition can inhibit propionibacterium acnes and creation of inflammatory materials from propionibacterium acnes while reducing creation of sebum from sebum cells and can be safely used in cosmetic materials and pharmaceutical composition because the composition has no toxicity and side effects for skin.
