Provided is a damper capable of moderately controlling the movement of an object to be stopped in the entire process and also being miniaturized and thinned. The damper comprises: a piston (P) including a rod (1); and a housing (H) storing the piston (P), and generates braking force by the operation of the piston (P). The piston (P) includes: a sealing member (2) for the inner wall of the housing (H); and a slider (3) which slides from the piston (P) and comes in contact with the inner wall of the housing (H) with predetermined friction. When the braking force is generated, the slider (3) is pressured and comes in contact with the sealing member (2) so that the portion of the sealing member (2) which touches the inner wall of the housing (H) is deformed toward the outside of the housing (H). |
