The present invention relates to a method and device for automatic detection of a suspicious object in a scanner image. To be more specific, the present invention relates to the method and device for automatic detection of a suspicious object in a scanner image which searches a scanner image with a window of a specific size and combines segments in the window to remove unnecessary combinations and duplicate combinations of segments to ensure faster detection of a suspicious object in a scanner image. The method for automatic detection of a suspicious object in a scanner image includes: a segmentation step to collect pixels of a similar color in a scanner image and identifies a collection of pixels as one segment to divide a scanner image into a number of segments; and a segments-combining step to set a window of a specific size and move the window while exploring a scanner image to combine segments in the image.
