<p>A vehicle gesture recognition system and a control method thereof are disclosed. The vehicle gesture recognition system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a camera unit installed inside a vehicle to take images inside a vehicle; a display unit comprising a number of display devices including head-up display (HUD) which shows the operation resulting from the control of all kinds of convenient features within a vehicle; a storage unit to store gesture setting information matching all kinds of convenient features within the vehicle and a start-gesture command, which selectively starts the recognition of a gesture for each feature and displays the recognition of the gesture on a designated display device; a gesture recognition unit to track the position of a user hand to detect the touch of a user hand on a touch area of a first feature, and recognize the start-gesture command to move to the area of a first display device upon touch; and a control unit to execute the first feature upon recognition of the start-gesture command and display the operation of the first feature on the first display device.</p> |
