FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing electret fine particles or coarse powder. The method of producing electret fine particles includes steps of emulsifying a fluorine-containing material which contains a vinylidene fluoride-hexafluoropropylene-tetrafluoroethylene terpolymer in a liquid which is immiscible with the fluorine-containing material to obtain emulsified particles or microcapsule particles and subjecting the emulsified particles or microcapsule particle to irradiation with an electron beam, radioactive radiation, or corona discharge treatment.
