The present invention relates to a method for bonding a seed crystal onto a holder to grow a single crystal. The method includes the steps of: forming a poly-crystal on a seed crystal holder; and pressing and heating the seed crystal for the single crystal to bond the seed crystal onto the holder. Accordingly, the method can be used to prepare the high-quality single crystal while preventing problems such as the contamination of the surface of the seed crystal.
