A system and a method thereof for a telematics-based chauffeur service are disclosed. A telematics based-chauffeur service, according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a telematics service (TMS) center to generate an ID in connection with a vehicle′s destination and chauffeur driving authorization by analyzing a chauffeur service requesting message when receiving the requesting message from a terminal of a vehicle owner and transmitting a message including the vehicle destination and ID to the vehicle of the vehicle owner and a terminal of a chauffeur; and a vehicle terminal to store the vehicle′s destination and ID received from the TMS center and allow driving of the vehicle by determining that the ID authentication is successful if the ID inputted by the chauffeur is identical to the ID stored whereas if the ID authentication fails, the vehicle terminal stops the engine to limit the driving of the vehicle. |
