Disclosed are spiro condensed piperidinone azaindane pyrrolo pyridine carboxamide derivatives of formula I which are antagonists of CGRP receptors and useful in the treatment or prevention of diseases in which the CGRP is involved, such as migraine. An example of such a compound is (6S)-N-[(3S,5S,6R)-6-Methyl-5-(2-methylphenyl)-2-oxo-1-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyI)piperidin-3-yl]-2’-oxo-1’,2’,5,7-tetrahydrospiro[cyclopenta[b]pyridine-6,3’-pyrrolo [2,3-b]pyridine]-3-carboxamide. Also disclosed is the use of said compounds in the manufacture of a medicament for the prevention or treatment of diseases in which CGRP is involved, for example migraines. |
