The present invention relates to a system and a method for managing the heat of an engine, and more specifically, to a system and a method for managing the heat of an engine which can resolve problems that can prevent an engine from overheating and an excessive increase in the temperature of cooling water and resolve problems which can occur due to such excessive increase in the temperature of cooling water. To achieve the purpose, the present invention provides a system and a method for managing the heat of an engine. The system comprises: a cooling water temperature sensor which detects the temperature of engine cooling water; an engine control part which determines whether entering a torque reducing mode in accordance with cooling water temperature detected by the cooling water temperature sensor and executes an engine control of reducing an engine torque under a condition of entering the torque reducing mode; and a display part which is controlled to display whether the engine control part enters the torque reducing mode. |
