<p>The beacon has a sensing and control unit (19) connected to an automatic activation system or impact sensor (16). A memory unit (20) stores navigation data of a board navigation system (17) of a ship or an aircraft. The sensing and control unit generates messages according to the stored data and transmits the data messages to satellites via transmitters (12, 14) that are connected with antennas (13, 15) so as to enable a tag to simultaneously transmit two independent signals, which includes a distress signal and a signal with last minute payload data of navigation.</p> |
