A method for producing milk protein textile fibres, from casein, wherein casein is plasticized together with water as plasticizer under mechanical stress by means of an extruder, wherein said textile fibre is pressed through a jet at the exit of the extruder and formed thereby, wherein the casein powder is supplied via a vibrating conveyer of the extruder and wherein said water is added in a proportion of 1:2 (water:casein), wherein the plasticizing of casein together with water is carried out at 74 degrees Celsius.
