BENZOIC ACID RECOVERY METHOD FROM WASTE MATERIAL OF TEREPHTHALIC ACID MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Disclosed is a method for recovering benzoic acid from waste materials of a terephthalic acid manufacturing process. The method for recovering benzoic acid of the present invention comprises the steps of: (a) acquiring a catalyst solution and a first solid matter by mixing waste materials generated from a terephthalic acid manufacturing process with water; (b) acquiring a filtrate and a second solid matter by mixing alcohol in the first solid matter; and (c) collecting the alcohol from the filtrate and recovering benzoic acid.
