The equipment has a system for display of a virtual scene by stereoscopic display of images of a human-machine interface (HMI) on a screen for allowing the interface to appear in three dimensions to an operator (11) wearing glasses (13) for stereoscopic vision. A contact device (17) includes a touch pad (19) that is partially transparent and positioned at a point where the interface is intended to appear in front of the operator. An infra-red camera or a video camera detects the position of a finger of the operator on the contact device when the finger makes contact with the contact device.
