<p>The present invention relates to a swimming cap and a manufacturing method thereof. The present invention injection-molds the swimming cap in a mold by using the thermoplastic elastomer (TPC) which is a type of thermoplastic resins to simplify the manufacturing process and enable mass-production. The swimming cap can prevent the hair from getting damaged by the disinfectant contained in the water in a swimming pool and minimize the water resistance while swimming. The manufacturing method includes the steps of: (a) injecting the TPE into a hopper; (b) melting the TPE injected in step (a) through heating cylinders; (c) molding the TPE melted in step (b) in a hot-runner mold; (d) heating the hot-runner mold up to a predetermined temperature to inject the TPE injected into the hot-runner mold in the step (c) in a cavity in the melted state; and (e) molding the swimming cap by cooling the TPE injected into the cavity of the hot-runner mold in step (c) to another predetermined temperature.</p> |
