<p>The base (10) has an upper end with a housing for receiving a tubular top part (3) of a mast, where the top part is made of fiber e.g. carbon fiber, glass fiber, aramid fiber or Kelvar(RTM: para-aramid synthetic fiber). A metal part has a sail fitting fixation device e.g. gooseneck type boom fixation device, for fixing a gooseneck type boom (2) of a centerboard boat (1). Height of the base is less than or equal to thirty two times the value of a diameter of a circle circumscribing the base, where the height of the base is equal to a height of the fixation device. An independent claim is also included for a transport unit comprising a sail.</p> |
