1. An image forming apparatus comprising:
a voltage generation unit configured to convert an input AC voltage and generates a DC voltage; a first control unit configured to control the voltage generation unit; a heat generation member configured to generate heat by supplying the AC voltage to the heat generation member; a switch for supplying or shutting off the AC voltage to the heat generation member; and a second control unit configured to control the switch, wherein the first control unit acquires information for controlling the switch, and transmits the information to the second control unit, and the second control unit controls the switch based on the information in which the second control unit has received from the first control unit.
