<p>The present invention relates to a stator (100) for an electric machine, the stator comprising a plurality of radially distributed metal sheet winding turns (102) extending in an axial and a circumferential direction of the stator, for housing a rotor component therein; wherein the metal sheet winding turns (102) are radially spaced apart from each other, such that cooling passages (108) are provided between the metal sheet winding turns (102).
