The invention relates to a release liner substrate and a label laminate comprising the release liner substrate. According to an embodiment a release liner substrate comprises polyethylene terephthalate at least 80 wt.%. The release liner substrate may be monoaxially oriented in a machine direction of the release liner substrate comprising an orientation ratio at least 4. Further the invention relates to a use of the release liner for self-adhesive label laminate, to a printed label laminate and to a method for providing a label laminate.
