The present invention provides an insulating box for an LNG cargo tank, which includes a plywood frame and a powder type insulator filling the frame. At this point, multiple erect pillars are placed in an inner space of the frame, and upper and lower parts of the erect pillars are combined with upper and lower panels of the frame respectively. The present invention is capable of solving problems of the existing technology.
