PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent liquid polyol composition that overcomes disadvantages of a polyol derived from a sugar serving as a raw material for a urethane resin or the like.SOLUTION: There is provided a transparent liquid polyol composition including fructose, a sugar content of an isomerized sugar liquid, or a sugar content of starch syrup, where the liquid polyol composition has a moisture content of 5 wt.% or less. There are also provided a transparent liquid polyol composition including fructose, a sugar content of an isomerized sugar liquid, or a sugar content of starch syrup, and glycerin or glycol, where the liquid polyol composition has a moisture content of 5 wt.% or less and a transparent liquid polyol composition obtained by addition-polymerizing an alkylene oxide with an initiator using the liquid polyol composition as the initiator, where the liquid polyol composition has a moisture content of 5 wt.% or less. The liquid polyol composition according to the present invention can be simply produced only by physical treatments such as heating, mixing, and dehydration by evaporation under reduced pressure, except in some steps. |
