PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide low molecular weight polyolefin excellent in a color tone, reduced in odor and having a double bond in a molecular terminal and/or a molecular chain.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing low molecular weight polyolefin with a double bond(s) of 0.1 to 20 pieces per 1,000 piece characterized in that polyolefin is subjected to heat degradation under the condition where oxygen concentration is 15 to 500 ppm, also provided is low molecular weight polyolefin obtainable by the production method, also provided is a modifier containing the low molecular weight polyolefin, and also provided is a polyolefin resin composition containing the modifier and a polyolefin resin. |
