PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain substantially the same display appearances in display regions driven by static and duty drive systems while using a general-purpose drive unit. ! SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device displays a first display element by a static drive system in a predetermined region S, while the device displays a second display element by a duty drive system in a region D different from the predetermined region S.
