PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stable recording paper transportation without increasing the number of components, relating to an image formation device in which recording paper is directly transported to a transfer roller from a paper feeding roller. ! SOLUTION: An image formation device includes a lifting plate 12 on which recording paper P is loaded for free lifting, and a recording paper separation member 14 that can move to both a contact position and a separation position with respect to a paper feeding roller 13. Each time single sheet of the recording paper P loaded on the lifting plate 12 is fed, the paper feeding roller 13 and the paper separation member 14 are separated/contacted. The paper feeding roller 13 is attached to a drive shaft 17 through an idling possible mechanism. When paper feeding operation is started, only the drive shaft 17 is idled for a predetermined time.
