TRAFFIC VIOLATION DETECTION METHOD

摘要

A traffic violation detection method based on a significant vehicle component model. Firstly, a significant component of a vehicle is located via discrimination features comprising a vehicle licence plate and vehicle tail lamps, and the features are used to represent a vehicle; then, according to a plurality of significant components, a Kalman filter is used to complete vehicle tracking; and finally, vehicle violation behaviours are detected by way of analysing a track and setting up a violation detection region. The method solves problems such as vehicle violation detection in a complex environment of practical engineering application such as illumination variation and noise detection, and can be used for traffic monitoring in a complex urban environment.
