A hub unit (1) is provided with: a bearing part (10) having an outer wheel (2) attached in a non-rotatable manner to the side of a body, an inner wheel (3) disposed concentrically on the inner side of the outer wheel (2), a plurality of rolling elements (41, 42) disposed in a bearing internal space (10a) between the outer wheel (2) and the inner wheel (3), and a seal member (51) for sealing the bearing internal space (10a) on the vehicle-inner-side end; a hub wheel (6) having a barrel part (61) inserted through the inner side of the inner wheel (3), and a vehicle wheel attachment flange (62) to which a vehicle wheel is attached; and a cover member (7) for protecting the bearing part (10) from foreign objects, the cover member (7) being secured so as to rotate integrally with the hub wheel (6) and the inner wheel (3) and covering the vehicle-inner-side end of the bearing part (10), and the portion of the cover member (7) that faces the vehicle-inner-side end surface (2e) of the outer wheel (2) being nonparallel to the end surface (2e). |
