ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A DASHBOARD CROSS-MEMBER AND A SUPPORT FOR SECURING AN AIRBAG

The invention relates to an assembly comprising a dashboard cross-member (1) for a motor vehicle and an airbag support (8) intended to be secured to the cross-member (1), said cross-member (1) comprising a tube (7) made from composite plastic material. The assembly is characterised in that the airbag support (8) comprises a metal element (10) in the form of an arc of circle having a radius corresponding substantially to that of the tube (7), said metal element (10) being partially covered with a plastic material (11) that can be secured to the tube (7) by means of bonding, thermal fusion or overmoulding. The aforementioned element (10) bears a member (12) for securing the airbag.
