<p>The invention relates to a method of determining amounts of a sample of rock, respectively of a first and a second mineral. According to the invention, the method comprises: (a) a preliminary step of constructing experimental data representative of the quantities of product formed as a function of time on reaction of the reagent on various test samples containing at least the first or the second mineral, the amounts of the first and second minerals being known and different from one test sample to the other, (b) a step of utilizing these experimental data to produce a sampling curve for the first mineral and a sampling curve for the second mineral, (c) a step of determining the amount of first and second mineral on the basis of the sampling curves and of the evolution as a function of time of the data representative of the quantity of product formed during the reaction of the sample studied with the reagent. The invention also relates to the portable device implementing the above method.</p> |
