Disclosed are talc particles having: an average particle diameter (D50), which is the diameter at a volume cumulative frequency of 50% as obtained by a laser diffraction/scattering-type particle size distribution measurement device, of greater than 5 µm to less than or equal to 12 µm; and a ratio (D90/D10), which is the ratio between the particle size (D90) at a volume cumulative frequency of 90% and the particle size (D10) at a volume cumulative frequency of 10%, of less than or equal to 5. Also disclosed is an organic polymer composition including said talc particles.
