The present invention provides a polymer binder for a lithium battery including either phenanthrenequinone repeating units or phenanthrene repeating units, an electrode for a lithium battery including the polymer binder, and a lithium battery having the electrode. When the conductive polymer binder is used to form the electrode, a high-rate capacity and a lifespan of the lithium cell can be improved.
