PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery charging system and method.SOLUTION: A battery charging system of the present invention has: a PFC converter section for converting input voltage of alternating current from a power source into output voltage of direct current; a DC/DC converter section for converting magnitude of the output voltage which is converted by the PFC converter section; a battery which is charged by the DC/DC converter section; and a control section for calculating power conversion efficiency on the basis of input current from the power source, input voltage, charging voltage and charging current of the battery and updating the output voltage of the PFC converter section in a first frequency, in accordance with the calculated power conversion efficiency. |
