PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor and a bobbin for the electric motor capable of easily being assembled and fixed the bobbin with a stator core while ensuring dimensional accuracy of the bobbin and the stator core.SOLUTION: The electric motor has: a bobbin 30 which is wound with a coil on the outer circumference thereof; and a stator core (21) in which the bobbin is inserted into a teeth part thereof. The bobbin has: an inner wall of a generally cylindrical shape which generally corresponds to the shape of an outer periphery of the teeth part; and at least one projection 309 which extends in a teeth insert direction, and the top height and the width of the base part in a vertical direction cross-section continuously increase as getting closer toward the end in the vicinity of the end of the inner wall in the insert direction of the stator core teeth.
