PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetron capable of reducing the size of an end hat while ensuring bonding strength between a negative electrode and the end hat. ! SOLUTION: A magnetron 1 has a negative electrode 3 which is arranged so that the pitch at an input-side negative electrode end 3i and an output-side negative electrode end 3o is smaller than the pitch in a central area 3c of the negative electrode; thus, the distance between the neighboring filaments is smaller. With this, the magnetron 1, in which the size of the output-side end hat 12 and the input-side end hat 13 is reduced while ensuring the bonding strength between the negative electrode 3 and the output-side end hat 12 and the input-side end hat 13, is provided. !
