A tracheotomy tube assembly is made in the form of two tubes 1, 3, at least one of which is of a resilient material, such as nylon, and the inner one is retained frictionally in the outer one by a portion 19 of the bore of the latter being of reduced diameter. The outer tube has a flange 7 to which a neck-band is attached by resilient snap-on clips which snap into slots therein so as to give a certain freedom of relative movement. The inner tube has a flange 21a directed outwardly at its ends to facilitate gripping when it is to be withdrawn for cleaning. |
