Class 120(2) Means for mounting a bobbin on a textile spindle comprises two axially spaced sleeves of resilient material carried on the spindle and a number of weights spaced around the inside of each sleeve. In the., arrangement shown a spindle 1 carries mounting discs 2 to 5 which hold between them sleeves 6 and 7 of resilient material, e.g. soft rubber. The sleeves are radially located only at their two ends and within each are arranged sets of centrifugal weight segments 8 spaced around the spindle each set being surrounded by a steel ring or hoop 9. Spring elements 10 which permanently urge the segments 8 outwards against the sleeves 6 and 7 with a small force are also provided to prevent tangential sliding of the segments on starting up of the spindle. |
