The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring ultraviolet rays using a smart phone and a method for measuring the same, capable of allowing a user to quickly and simply recognize ultraviolet ray information by installing a florescent material which emits light according to an adsorbed ultraviolet ray at the case of a smart phone. An apparatus for measuring ultraviolet rays using a smart phone according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a front camera which is formed on the front side of a smart phone, a pad which is attached to the inside of a cover part which covers the front side of the smart phone, a florescent material which is attached to a first region which is at least part of the pad and emits light of a visible light region which corresponds to the absorbed ultraviolet ray when it is exposed to air for a predetermined time range and absorbs an ultraviolet ray, and a control part. The inside is one side of the cover which is in contact with the front side of the smart phone. When the cover part covers the front side of the smart phone, the front camera photographs light emitted from the florescent material. The control part can measure the level of an ultraviolet ray in the air by using an image photographed by the front camera. |
