PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate disassembly work for maintenance and suppress interference between a main axis and a housing.SOLUTION: A spindle motor comprises: a housing 2 having an opening 2B on a load side, and having a shaft hole 2A communicating to an opposite-load side; a main shaft 3 having a thrust disk 3a, and being stored coaxially in the shaft hole 2A; radial bearings 10, 20A, 30A stored in the shaft hole 2A, and supporting the main shaft 3 in a radial direction in a non-contact manner; thrust bearings 20B, 30B for supporting the thrust disk 3a in a thrust direction in a non-contact manner; and a motor 4 having a rotor 4a and a stator 4b. The radial bearings 10, 20A, 30A and the thrust bearings 20B, 30B are disposed respectively on both sides of the load side and the opposite-load side of the thrust disk 3a. The opening 2B is configured to insert and detach the radial bearing 30A, thrust bearing 30B disposed closer to the load side than the thrust disk 3a, and the main shaft 3 having the thrust disk 3a in an axial direction. |
