A data transmission apparatus and method are provided in embodiments of the present invention. The data transmission apparatus of this invention comprises: a pre-processing module used for recording, if data are received within a preset time, a link quality indication value LQI corresponding to the data, and executing plus one processing on a count value which is used for calculating the number of the received data; a processing module used for calculating, if learning by comparison that the count value is not less than the number N of data allowed to be transmitted in a current period, an average value formula (I) of link quality indication values corresponding to all data received in the current period, and also used for comparing the average value formula (I) with a threshold in order to determine the number of data allowed to be transmitted in the next period; a reply module used for replying a periodic confirmation frame which carries the number of data allowed to be transmitted in the next period. With the embodiments of the present invention, the number of data allowed to be transmitted in the next period could be adjusted adaptively, and a real-time channel detection mechanism could be formed. |
