The invention relates to a method for producing contact material pieces for vacuum interrupters that enables fast and economical production comprising the following steps: a) applying a first layer of metal powder to a carrier (1); b) selectively melting the applied powder layer by means of high-energy radiation (5); c) solidifying the layer; d) lowering the layer by a layer thickness than can be melted on by the high-energy radiation; and e) applying a further layer of metal powder to the solidified first layer, and repeating the further steps b) to e) until a contact material piece is formed, wherein the metal powder has at least two components, of which a first component has a high electrical conductivity and a second component has high mechanical and thermal load capacity. |
