PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine which improves thermal efficiency of a heat pump for heating and, as a result, reduces power consumption of the vending machine. ! SOLUTION: The vending machine includes: a plurality of commodity storages individually insulated; and a compressor, a condenser, an expander, and an evaporator for cooling, and also a heat pump for cooling by which the interior of the commodity storage is kept in a cooling state, and a compressor, a capacitor, an expander, and an evaporator for heating in addition to a heat pump for heating by which the interior of the commodity storage is kept in a heating state, a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature inside each commodity storage, and a controller. The evaporator of the heat pump for heating is arranged in the downstream side of the condenser of the heat pump for cooling with respect to the flowing direction of air outside the storage.
