<p> By the present invention, even when a continuous, direct-energizing system is employed for a long time, heat treatment can be continued without the inside of a furnace becoming occluded with carbon powder, and productivity and working efficiency can thereby be enhanced. A kneading unit (1) mixes and kneads carbon powder (A) and a binder (B) to create a kneaded product (C). A granulating unit (2) forms granules from the kneaded product (C) and generates granulated carbon (D) having increased stability during heat treatment. A curing unit (3) dries the granulated carbon (D) at less than 170°C. A heat treating unit (4) discharges the granulated carbon (D) at a uniform rate to a heat generation zone (4d), and heats and graphitizes the granulated carbon (D). A cooling unit (5) cools the graphitized granulated carbon (D1) and performs antioxidant treatment thereof, and a powder generation unit (6) crushes the graphitized granulated carbon (D1) to produce graphite powder (E) having the desired particle size.</p> |
