PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of performing AF processing for improving image quality after processing. ! SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus including an imaging part converting light transmitted through a lens into a video signal, a lens control part performing the driving control of the lens, and a system control part performing control for AE processing and the AF processing, the system control part includes an AF evaluation value calculation part calculating an AF evaluation value, based on the video signal and an AE processing start determination part stopping the AE processing, until the AF evaluation value changes from an increase to a decrease and resuming the AE processing, when the AF evaluation value changes from the increase to the decrease. !
