PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed and low power consumption imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: a plurality of pixels; a read circuit reading pixel signals from the plurality of pixels per pixel row; an AD conversion section adjusting an AD conversion gain according to an output level of the read circuit and AD-converting signals from the read circuit to output image data; and a control section controlling the AD conversion gain of the AD conversion section according to a predetermined condition.
