Provided is a method for opening a file in a file folder, comprising: acquiring an operation acting on a file folder icon area; judging whether the operation acts on a preset area in the file folder icon area, the preset area displaying information about a preset file in the file folder; and if so, opening the preset file. Also provided is a corresponding terminal. In the embodiments of the present invention, an icon of a file in a file folder is displayed on the icon of the file folder. When the file folder is not opened, a user can directly view the icon of the file that needs to be opened from the icon of the file folder, and can directly carry out a trigger operation of opening the file in a simple and convenient manner. |
