A linear motor device of the present invention comprises: a trajectory member extending in a moving direction and having magnets; and a movable body laid on the trajectory member in a movable manner and having coils. The linear motor device generates a moving direction thrust between the coils and the magnets by conducting current through the coils. The movable body having the coils has: an object to be magnetically shielded, said object requiring the reduction of the effect of a magnetic field formed by the magnets; and a magnetically shielding member formed of a ferromagnetic material and shielding, from the magnetic field, the object to be magnetically shielded. The magnetically shielding member has: a parallel shielding plate disposed between the object to be magnetically shielded and the magnets in parallel with the moving direction; and a vertical shielding plate disposed from at least one of the moving direction front and rear edges of the parallel shielding plate, vertically to the moving direction, in a direction away from the magnet. This makes it possible to enhance the effect of magnetically shielding, from the magnetic field formed by the magnets, the object to be magnetically shielded as compared with a conventional device. |
