A switch for a seat belt buckle, in an embodiment protected from dust and/or water, of restraint systems of motor vehicles, for indicating that the seat belt latch has been inserted into the seat belt buckle and correctly locked, with a fixed contact and a contact spring, wherein the latter and the contact-making regions are arranged in the switch housing interior which is protected from foreign bodies, and the contact is switchable when the seat belt latch is inserted, wherein a rotatably mounted actuating element (4) is arranged in the switch housing (1) outside the housing interior (9), the actuating element (4) is of curved design and is provided with a sliding region (7) on the side thereof opposite the mounting (5) and, between the mounting (5) and the sliding region (7), with a dome-shaped region (6) penetrating the lower housing side (13). |
