<p>This gas engine is equipped with a cylinder head (30); a prechamber cap that protrudes from the center of the cylinder head (30) into a main combustion chamber, has a prechamber therein, and supplies a flame generated in the prechamber to the main combustion chamber; and a prechamber holder (42) that is disposed inside the cylinder head (30), extends along the central axis (C), holds the prechamber cap, and has therein a gas introduction path for introducing a prechamber gas into the prechamber and a spark plug for igniting the prechamber gas so as to generate a flame. In a cross-section orthogonal to the central axis (C), the prechamber holder (42) has a notched section (50) that is formed on the outer periphery of the prechamber holder (42) at a position that corresponds to at least one of ports (34, 35), said notched section being formed so as to recess radially inward toward the central axis (C).</p> |
