<p>This fixing device is provided with: a roller member; a heating heater; and a dust preventing member. The roller member has a greater width than the maximum paper passing area through which a sheet of a predetermined maximum size passes. The heating heater heats the roller member. The dust prevention member is provided in an inside layer between a rotating shaft of the roller member and a region outside of paper passage positioned more to the outside of the rotating shaft of the roller member than the maximum size paper passing area, said dust prevention member being constituted of a material that does not generate, or is not prone to generating, ultra fine particle dust in a temperature environment with a prescribed temperature or less heated by the heating heater.</p> |
